ABOUT COSTUME MASTER
This position pays $750-$1500 plus reimbursement for cost of materials.
Costumes should be finished in a timely fashion with costumes for Principal Characters finished prior to a 4/16 first performance and for all cast before the 6/24 full cast performance.
Costumes sourced may be bought, rented, or made or a combination of methods.
ABOUT DIRECTING JOBS
The Gilbert & Sullivan Light Opera Company of Long Island is seeking a Stage Director and Music Director for our 2022/2023 production of “Princess Ida”.
These positions pay a base salary of $2000.
Rehearsals are typically Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7:30 – 10:00 PM beginning October with Principal Auditions in November.
Performances of piano/principal cast only begin Late April into early May.
Full-orchestra/company performances take place in June through early July.
Interviews will be held Tuesday, August 23rd from 7:00pm-10:00pm EST at East Meadow United Methodist Church, 470 E Meadow Ave, East Meadow, NY, 11554.
Interviews may also be arranged to take place that evening remotely (e.g. Zoom, Google Meet).
All members of the company will be required to provide proof of vaccination. Masks (provided by the company) will be worn during all rehearsals, and social distancing will be maintained to the extent possible.
