Audition Information for Principal Roles
The Gilbert & Sullivan Light Opera Company of Long Island invites you to audition for a principal role, in our upcoming production of RUDDIGORE, Gilbert & Sullivan’s delightfully spooky, hilarious comic opera! Participation in the ensemble is open to all and does not require an audition.

What To Prepare:
Please prepare one short song, or a short portion of a longer song, in English and in the style of the show. Selections should be memorized. Please bring sheet music, as an accompanist will be provided for you.
POSSIBLE CALLBACK: Tuesday, November 17, 2026 7:30pmPERFORMANCE DATES: Orchestra shows are scheduled for June 18, 19, 26, and 27. May 1st is a show with piano-only accompaniment and approximately 5 more piano accompanied shows will be added during weekends between April 17th and June 13th.WHAT TO PREPARE

If you had already signed up for an audition at rehearsal on 10/27, there is no need to email, as you are already on our list. An email will be sent to you with an exact audition time, a few days before the audition. Walk-ins are welcome, but will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis.

This New York State-registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, is a touring company performing the works of Gilbert & Sullivan for churches, temples, schools, parks, libraries, seniors groups and fraternal organizations throughout Nassau and Suffolk counties, as well as in Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan.
